5th Street Park Coalition

Taking a small space in the East Village, New York City and making it an exemplar of participatory civic planning, bringing together elements of a beautiful historical Flemish school building and an area currently in use by both the Department of Education and the police, to create something forward-thinking which serves a broad spectrum of the micro-population.
